Ouro Preto: located 89 km from Belo Horizonte, Ouro Preto is highly relevant for its architectural beauties and precious baroque art. It was decreed World Cultural Heritage in 1980.
Serra do Cipó: located 100 km from Belo Horizonte, Serra do Cipó is an important National Park with natural diversity and scenic beauty. The region concentrates the ecological tourism in Minas Gerais.
São João Del Rei: located 180 km from Belo Horizonte, São João Del Rei offers tourists a blend of 18th-century houses and churches and modern late 19th-century buildings. The locomotive Maria Fumaça, the oldest train still running in South America, links São João Del Rei to Tiradentes, another important historical town with interesting cultural and leisure activities.

Minas Gerais offers a variety of tourism sites, from adventure to business. The State’s many tourism routes attract people with different interests. Hydro-mineral resorts, grottoes and eco-tourism are some samples of what you will find in Minas Gerais.
